MSRTC operates over 14,000 buses, serving more than 55 lakh passengers daily, making it one of India's largest public transport networks. The hike is attributed to rising operational costs.

कल से महाराष्ट्र राज्य सड़क परिवहन निगम (MSRTC) बसों का किराया 13.5% बढ़ाएगा। इस फैसले से रोज़ाना सफर करने वाले लाखों यात्रियों पर असर पड़ेगा, जो इस सरकारी बस सेवा पर निर्भर हैं। MSRTC के पास 14,000 से ज़्यादा बसें हैं और यह रोज़ाना 55 लाख से ज़्यादा यात्रियों को सेवा देती है। किराया बढ़ोतरी का कारण परिचालन लागत में वृद्धि बताया जा रहा है।
