The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has waived examination fees for Class 10 and 12 students in 265 drought-affected talukas. This decision applies to students appearing for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations. The waiver follows a government resolution announcing concessions for drought-hit areas, which constitute about 74 percent of the state. The board has instructed its divisional units to accept online applications without collecting fees from these students.

महाराष्ट्र राज्य माध्यमिक और उच्च माध्यमिक शिक्षा बोर्ड ने 265 सूखा प्रभावित तालुकों के कक्षा 10वीं और 12वीं के छात्रों के लिए परीक्षा शुल्क माफ कर दिया है। यह फैसला सेकेंडरी स्कूल सर्टिफिकेट (SSC) और हायर सेकेंडरी सर्टिफिकेट (HSC) परीक्षाओं में बैठने वाले छात्रों पर लागू होता है। यह छूट सूखा प्रभावित क्षेत्रों के लिए रियायतों की घोषणा करने वाले सरकारी प्रस्ताव के बाद आई है, जो राज्य का लगभग 74 प्रतिशत हिस्सा हैं। बोर्ड ने अपने विभागीय इकाइयों को इन छात्रों से शुल्क लिए बिना ऑनलाइन आवेदन स्वीकार करने का निर्देश दिया है।
