Defence sources state the situation at LAC in Arunachal Pradesh's Asaphila and Longju areas is stable and being managed strictly, despite historical disputes. While face-offs between Indian and Chinese troops during patrols are common, no violent clashes have been reported, with ground commanders maintaining control. Military-to-military mechanisms like flag meetings and hotline communication are used to de-escalate local tensions. High-level Corps Commander talks have also been successfully held to maintain border peace.
