CBI Probe Into Illegal Mining Exposes AAP Govt's Failure: Punjab BJP Chief
Times of India · politics
Punjab BJP president Kewal Singh Dhillon stated that the Punjab and Haryana High Court's decision to transfer the illegal mining investigation to the CBI highlights the AAP government's failures. He pointed to the court's observation that 110-foot-high mountains vanished unnoticed, raising serious questions about governance. Dhillon noted that while 26 out of 31 registered stone crushers in Hoshiarpur were operational, official affidavits claimed none of the approved sites were functioning. This discrepancy, he argued, exposes significant shortcomings in the government's monitoring system and the unregulated exploitation of natural resources.
