A Sydney-based currency trader has been fired after his employer discovered he was working from a hotel in Singapore while claiming to be working from home in Australia. Charles Graham, employed by HIFX Australia for 20 months, had his relocation request denied and later submitted a medical certificate for an eye injury, claiming he needed to work remotely. His manager became suspicious when he failed to return to work after a holiday, leading IT to track his laptop to a Singapore hotel.
