Veteran actor Anant Nag has been honored with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, becoming the second artist from Karnataka to receive India's highest cinema award. He will be presented with the prestigious award on September 22, 2026, at the 72nd National Film Awards Ceremony in Kevadia, Gujarat. Nag, who has acted in over 300 films, including more than 250 in Kannada, expressed his joy and dedicated the award to Kannadigas and Karnataka.
