Uttar Pradesh Police have destroyed 1,72,246 kg of narcotics, valued at an estimated ₹418 crore, under "Operation Dahan" this year, marking the largest quantity disposed of by any state. Proceedings have also been initiated to confiscate properties worth ₹80.33 crore in 96 cases under the NDPS Act. The force has registered 4,197 cases, seized 36,088 kg of narcotics, and arrested 6,076 alleged traffickers so far in 2026. A motorcycle rally themed ‘Fight Against Drugs’ was flagged off from Lucknow to raise awareness about substance abuse.

उत्तर प्रदेश पुलिस ने इस साल 'ऑपरेशन दहन' के तहत अनुमानित ₹418 करोड़ के 1,72,246 किलोग्राम नशीले पदार्थों को नष्ट किया है, जो किसी भी राज्य द्वारा निपटाए गए सबसे ज़्यादा मात्रा है। NDPS अधिनियम के तहत 96 मामलों में ₹80.33 करोड़ की संपत्ति जब्त करने की कार्यवाही भी शुरू की गई है। इस बल ने 2026 में अब तक 4,197 मामले दर्ज किए हैं, 36,088 किलोग्राम नशीले पदार्थ जब्त किए हैं, और 6,076 कथित तस्करों को गिरफ्तार किया है। नशीली दवाओं के दुरुपयोग के बारे में जागरूकता बढ़ाने के लिए लखनऊ से 'नशे के खिलाफ लड़ाई' थीम वाली मोटरसाइकिल रैली को हरी झंडी दिखाकर रवाना किया गया।
