Indian markets anticipate a significant increase in gold purchases this Dhanteras, with sales potentially rising by 12% compared to last year, according to the India Bullion and Jewellers Association. This projection surpasses earlier estimates of 7-10%. Despite a sharp rise in gold prices, with 24-carat gold increasing by 4.56% in just two days, consumers are opting for lighter jewellery and smaller gold coins. While sales volume might decrease, the higher prices are expected to boost overall jewellery sales value for retailers.

इंडिया बुलियन एंड जूलर्स एसोसिएशन के अनुसार, भारतीय बाज़ारों को इस धनतेरस पर सोने की ख़रीद में बड़ी वृद्धि की उम्मीद है, बिक्री पिछले साल की तुलना में 12% तक बढ़ सकती है। यह अनुमान पहले के 7-10% के अनुमानों से ज़्यादा है। सोने की कीमतों में भारी उछाल के बावजूद, जिसमें 24-कैरेट सोने की कीमत सिर्फ़ दो दिनों में 4.56% बढ़ी है, ग्राहक हल्के गहने और छोटे सोने के सिक्के ख़रीद रहे हैं। हालाँकि बिक्री की मात्रा कम हो सकती है, लेकिन ज़्यादा कीमतों से खुदरा विक्रेताओं के लिए गहनों की कुल बिक्री मूल्य बढ़ने की उम्मीद है।
