STF Flags Conversion Network Across KGMU Depts, Names 16 Faculty

A Special Task Force report submitted to the Uttar Pradesh government has identified a conversion network within King George’s Medical University, naming 16 faculty members and 29 men in total. The report details allegations of harassment, coercion for religious conversion, exploitation, and institutional inaction involving 12 women, referred to as alleged victims. The medical education department has directed the KGMU registrar to examine the report and initiate action. The university has convened a meeting to discuss the findings and decide on its response.

उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार को सौंपी गई एक स्पेशल टास्क फोर्स (एसटीएफ) की रिपोर्ट में किंग जॉर्ज मेडिकल यूनिवर्सिटी (केजीएमयू) के भीतर एक धर्मांतरण नेटवर्क की पहचान की गई है, जिसमें कुल 16 फैकल्टी सदस्यों और 29 पुरुषों के नाम शामिल हैं। रिपोर्ट में कथित पीड़ितों के रूप में संदर्भित 12 महिलाओं से जुड़े उत्पीड़न, धार्मिक धर्मांतरण के लिए जबरदस्ती, शोषण और संस्थागत निष्क्रियता के आरोपों का विवरण दिया गया है। मेडिकल एजुकेशन विभाग ने केजीएमयू रजिस्ट्रार को रिपोर्ट की जांच करने और कार्रवाई शुरू करने का निर्देश दिया है। विश्वविद्यालय ने निष्कर्षों पर चर्चा करने और अपनी प्रतिक्रिया तय करने के लिए एक बैठक बुलाई है।
