In Gumla, Jharkhand, police have arrested a father for allegedly killing his minor daughter and then fabricating a gangrape story to mislead authorities. The father, Chaitu Oraon, initially reported that his daughter was abducted, gangraped, and abandoned. However, a post-mortem examination revealed no signs of sexual assault, prompting an investigation into the father. During interrogation, Oraon confessed to killing his daughter by forcefully pressing her neck after she spoke disrespectfully to him. He then concocted the gangrape narrative to conceal his crime.
