Volvo Cars India May Hike Prices Due To Shipping Disruptions

Volvo Cars India's Managing Director, Jyoti Malhotra, stated that geopolitical disruptions are making shipping times unpredictable and increasing costs. The company has so far absorbed these higher expenses but may be forced to raise vehicle prices if the situation persists. Volvo Cars India already increased prices by up to Rs 1 lakh on May 1 due to global supply-chain issues and currency fluctuations. The company recently launched its flagship EX90 electric SUV at an introductory price of Rs 1.26 crore.

वोल्वो कार्स इंडिया के मैनेजिंग डायरेक्टर, ज्योति मल्होत्रा ने कहा कि भू-राजनीतिक रुकावटों के कारण शिपिंग का समय अप्रत्याशित हो रहा है और लागत बढ़ रही है। कंपनी ने अब तक इन बढ़ी हुई लागतों को सोख लिया है, लेकिन अगर स्थिति बनी रही तो उन्हें गाड़ी की कीमतें बढ़ानी पड़ सकती हैं। वोल्वो कार्स इंडिया ने पहले ही 1 मई को वैश्विक सप्लाई-चेन की समस्याओं और मुद्रा में उतार-चढ़ाव के कारण ₹1 लाख तक दाम बढ़ाए थे। कंपनी ने हाल ही में अपनी फ्लैगशिप EX90 इलेक्ट्रिक SUV को ₹1.26 करोड़ की शुरुआती कीमत पर लॉन्च किया था।
