Bangalore Turf Club Gets 30-Year Lease For Four Acres In High Grounds

The Karnataka State government has approved a 30-year lease for four acres of land in BTC. This land currently houses the club's facilities, including a heritage structure. While the BTC is expected to relocate its racing activities to Kunigal, it sought six acres to continue club operations and off-course betting. The government, however, has agreed to provide only four acres for these purposes. The decision follows the state's earlier stance against extending the BTC's lease on the current premises.

कर्नाटक सरकार ने बेंगलुरु टर्फ क्लब (BTC) को चार एकड़ जमीन का 30 साल का पट्टा देने की मंजूरी दे दी है। इस जमीन पर क्लब की सुविधाएं और एक हेरिटेज स्ट्रक्चर है। BTC अपनी रेसिंग गतिविधियों को कुनिगल में ले जाने की उम्मीद कर रहा है, लेकिन क्लब संचालन और ऑफ-कोर्स सट्टेबाजी जारी रखने के लिए छह एकड़ जमीन मांगी थी। हालांकि, सरकार ने इन कामों के लिए केवल चार एकड़ जमीन देने पर सहमति जताई है। यह फैसला राज्य के उस रुख के बाद आया है जब उसने पहले BTC के मौजूदा परिसर में पट्टे को बढ़ाने का विरोध किया था।
