Mohali Builder Ordered to Hand Over Flat, Pay 9% Interest for Delay

A consumer commission has directed Omaxe New Chandigarh Developers to hand over a flat in its The Lake project, along with completion and occupation certificates. The builder must also pay 9% annual interest on ₹50 lakh deposited by the buyer from November 16, 2023, until possession is granted. The commission further ordered the developer to pay ₹2 lakh for harassment and litigation expenses, giving them 45 days to comply.

एक उपभोक्ता आयोग ने Omaxe New Chandigarh Developers को The Lake प्रोजेक्ट में एक फ्लैट, कंप्लीशन और ऑक्यूपेशन सर्टिफिकेट के साथ सौंपने का निर्देश दिया है। बिल्डर को खरीदार द्वारा जमा की गई ₹50 लाख की राशि पर 16 नवंबर 2023 से पज़ेशन मिलने तक 9% सालाना ब्याज भी देना होगा। आयोग ने डेवलपर को उत्पीड़न और मुकदमेबाजी खर्च के लिए ₹2 लाख का भुगतान करने का भी आदेश दिया, और उन्हें अनुपालन के लिए 45 दिन का समय दिया है।
