Maharashtra Govt Approves Increased Scholarships For SC/ST Students

The Maharashtra Cabinet has approved an increase in scholarship allowances for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) students. Under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Swayam Yojana, students in major cities like Mumbai and Pune will now receive ₹80,000 annually, up from ₹60,000. Those in other locations will see their allowance rise to ₹50,000 from ₹38,000. Similarly, under the Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Swadhar Yojana, SC and Navbuddha students in key urban areas will receive ₹80,000 annually.
