Pilots' Body Seeks Role in Air India Crash

The Federation of Indian Pilots (FIP) has requested representation on a committee reviewing the draft investigation report for the Air India AI-171 crash. This Boeing 787 Dreamliner flight crashed in Ahmedabad on June 12, 2025, resulting in 260 fatalities. FIP learned the government is considering an independent committee to examine the report before finalization. The pilots' body wants to be formally nominated and included in this review process to ensure their perspective is considered in the ongoing investigation.
