Karnataka's Rural Development Minister Eshwar Khandre has questioned the Centre's decision to withhold ₹2,186.20 crore in grants for gram panchayats. He alleges a discriminatory approach, citing that similar technical discrepancies in fund utilization are overlooked in Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, and Uttarakhand. Khandre highlighted that Karnataka has received ₹2,133.25 crore, with only ₹1,907 crore reflected on the e-Gram Swaraj portal due to technical issues. He stated that withholding these funds, especially during a drought, is unjust and the state is considering approaching the Supreme Court.

कर्नाटक के ग्रामीण विकास मंत्री ईश्वर खांडरे ने केंद्र सरकार के ₹2,186.20 करोड़ की ग्रांट रोकने के फैसले पर सवाल उठाए हैं। उन्होंने भेदभाव का आरोप लगाते हुए कहा कि असम, बिहार, गुजरात और उत्तराखंड में ऐसी ही तकनीकी गड़बड़ियों को नजरअंदाज किया गया है। खांडरे ने बताया कि कर्नाटक को ₹2,133.25 करोड़ मिले थे, लेकिन तकनीकी समस्या के कारण ई-ग्राम स्वराज पोर्टल पर केवल ₹1,907 करोड़ ही दिख रहे हैं। उन्होंने कहा कि सूखे के समय यह रोक अनुचित है और राज्य सुप्रीम कोर्ट जाने पर विचार कर रहा है।
