DMK Denies Link to Accused Gem Granites Chief

Chennai police have formed a four-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe sexual offense allegations against Gem Granites chairman R Veeramani. Veeramani, along with associates, was arrested on August 29 in connection with the POCSO case. A former employee was later arrested after police found a video linked to the case on his phone. DMK spokesperson T K S Elangovan stated the party should not be blamed for individual actions and that leadership has called for action if wrongdoing is proven.
