The popular "Avatar: The Last Airbender" franchise is expanding with a new animated prequel series titled "Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos." Co-creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko announced the show at New York Comic Con, revealing it will follow a rebellious teenager Avatar. The series is set to stream on Paramount, though a release date has not yet been announced. This new project stems from Avatar Studios, launched in 2021 to develop new films and television shows within the beloved universe.
