India Today · world
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has urged the G20 to shield energy markets from disruptions caused by sanctions and chokepoints. Speaking at the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting, he stated that the global energy crisis stems from unpredictability and supply issues, not a lack of production. Jaishankar criticised the deliberate use of attacks on energy trade and infrastructure to hold prices hostage, noting a disregard for low-income countries. He also called for expanded G20 cooperation on finance, critical minerals, and emerging energy technologies to ensure reliable supplies.
