Nifty IPO Index Surges 19.5% YTD

The Nifty IPO index has gained 19.5% year-to-date, significantly outperforming the mainboard market where the Nifty 50 has fallen 11.5%. Small and medium enterprise IPOs also showed strength, with the Nifty SME Emerge index up 5.55% year-to-date. Despite market volatility, some IPOs like ESDS Software have delivered substantial returns, with 21 out of 81 listed companies trading below their issue price. Mainboard IPOs have raised ₹1.10 trillion this year, with issues between ₹500 crore and ₹1,000 crore seeing the highest average subscription.
