Bangladesh has initiated a nationwide measles-rubella vaccination campaign targeting 3.4 million unvaccinated children amidst its most severe measles outbreak. Health experts attribute the crisis to disruptions in routine immunisation programmes in 2024 and 2025. The month-long campaign aims to vaccinate children aged 6 months to 59 months to reduce severe illness, deaths, and break transmission chains.
