The Haryana Shehri Vikas Pradhikaran (HSVP) has suspended its anti-encroachment campaign in Panchkula due to recent court directions. The drive, initiated on the high court's orders to clear public land, had identified numerous violations, including structures outside private and government buildings. HSVP had issued nearly 2,000 eviction notices, prompting some residents to remove encroachments. The suspension halts efforts to clear footpaths and road berms, allowing obstructions to persist despite the Supreme Court's emphasis on safe public access.
