NLU Chancellor Overturns Student's Hostel Suspension in Ragging Case
Times of India · education
The Chancellor of National Law University, Jodhpur, has revoked the disciplinary actions against a fifth-semester law student, Lakshay Ladoia, finding he was not given a fair chance to defend himself. The registrar's office had suspended Ladoia from his hostel for one year and imposed other restrictions, including barring him from university events and library access. Ladoia's defense argued that crucial documents were not provided. The Chancellor's order noted the inquiry report indicated Ladoia was present but not involved in the physical altercation. The student must now maintain good conduct.
