A parliamentary committee report has highlighted a significant staff shortage at the National Testing Agency (NTA), with 41% of its 39 sanctioned permanent posts unfilled. The committee, headed by Congress MP Mukul Wasnik, called for permanent recruitment of specialists to reduce reliance on deputation and private contractors. Following the NEET-UG 2026 cancellation due to question matching, the panel recommended a continuously updated question bank and digital paper drawing close to examinations.

एक संसदीय समिति की रिपोर्ट में नेशनल टेस्टिंग एजेंसी (NTA) में कर्मचारियों की भारी कमी बताई गई है, जिसमें 39 स्वीकृत स्थायी पदों में से 41% पद खाली हैं। कांग्रेस सांसद मुकुल वासनिक की अध्यक्षता वाली समिति ने डेपुटेशन और निजी ठेकेदारों पर निर्भरता कम करने के लिए विशेषज्ञों की स्थायी भर्ती की मांग की है। प्रश्न मिलान के कारण NEET-UG 2026 रद्द होने के बाद, समिति ने परीक्षाओं के करीब एक लगातार अपडेट होने वाला प्रश्न बैंक और डिजिटल पेपर ड्राइंग की सिफारिश की है।
