Mayank Yadav delivered a ferocious pace assault, claiming three wickets in his opening spell to leave West Indies reeling in their chase of 250. India had earlier posted their highest T20I total against West Indies, reaching 249/5 in 20 overs, powered by Sanju Samson's 82 off 41 balls. Yadav struck twice in successive deliveries in the first over, dismissing Kamil Pooran and Shimron Hetmyer. He then removed Rovman Powell with a stunning 149.5kmph delivery, completing his three-wicket burst and putting the visitors on the back foot.
