Journalist Accused of Sexual Harassment Faces SC/ST Act Charges

Delhi Police have registered a case against an independent journalist and two others, based on a complaint by Assistant Commissioner of Police Vivek Bhagat. The journalist had previously accused Bhagat of sexual harassment. The new FIR alleges caste-based humiliation, intimidation, and obstruction of official duty under the SC/ST Act and Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Bhagat, who belongs to the Scheduled Caste community, claims the journalist made derogatory remarks about his caste and questioned his appointment. The journalist's earlier complaint of sexual harassment is still under inquiry.
