BMC Issues Show-Cause Notice to Mumbai Coastal Road Contractors Over Unauthorised Debris Use

BMC has issued a show-cause notice to the contractors of the Mumbai Coastal Road project for allegedly using excavation material from private construction sites without mandatory permissions. The Larsen & Toubro-HCC joint venture has been ordered to halt backfilling work with unauthorised material until clearance is obtained. The contractor has 72 hours to explain why the material should not be removed at its own cost and why stringent action should not be initiated.

बीएमसी ने मुंबई कोस्टल रोड प्रोजेक्ट के ठेकेदारों को निजी निर्माण स्थलों से खुदाई की सामग्री के कथित तौर पर बिना ज़रूरी इजाज़त के इस्तेमाल के लिए कारण बताओ नोटिस जारी किया है। लार्सन एंड टुब्रो-एचसीसी संयुक्त उद्यम को इजाज़त मिलने तक अनधिकृत सामग्री से बैकफिलिंग का काम रोकने का आदेश दिया गया है। ठेकेदार को 72 घंटे के अंदर यह बताना होगा कि सामग्री को उसकी अपनी लागत पर क्यों न हटाया जाए और क्यों न उसके खिलाफ सख्त कार्रवाई शुरू की जाए।
