Pocso Prisoner Escapes, Dies By Suicide Later

A 22-year-old remand prisoner, Kishore Kumar Reddy, accused in a Pocso case, died by suicide in Wanaparthy district. Reddy had escaped from the Institute of Mental Health in Erragadda on Tuesday while being escorted for a medical check-up. He had previously escaped from prison three months ago but was recaptured the same day after consuming pesticide. Unable to afford bail, he reportedly behaved erratically in jail. Police are investigating his death.
