Ahmedabad police have uncovered a large-scale operation selling counterfeit mobile phones under the guise of branded companies like Samsung, Nokia, and Jio. A raid near the Geetamandir ST bus station resulted in the seizure of 1,034 suspected fake phones and accessories worth ₹7.07 lakh from five shops and warehouses. Investigations revealed discrepancies in IMEI numbers and the sale of discontinued models as new. Police have registered cases against 14 traders, including retailers and alleged wholesalers, under trademark and cheating laws.

अहमदाबाद पुलिस ने Samsung, Nokia और Jio जैसी ब्रांडेड कंपनियों के नाम पर नकली मोबाइल फोन बेचने का बड़ा खेल पकड़ा है। Geetamandir ST बस स्टेशन के पास हुई छापेमारी में 5 दुकानों और गोदामों से 1,034 संदिग्ध नकली फोन और एक्सेसरीज जब्त की गईं, जिनकी कीमत ₹7.07 लाख बताई जा रही है। जांच में IMEI नंबरों में गड़बड़ी और बंद हो चुके मॉडल को नए बताकर बेचने का खुलासा हुआ। पुलिस ने ट्रेडमार्क और धोखाधड़ी कानूनों के तहत 14 व्यापारियों, जिनमें रिटेलर और कथित थोक विक्रेता शामिल हैं, के खिलाफ केस दर्ज किया है।
