US MBA Demand Drops As Trump Visa Policies Deter International Applicants
Hindustan Times · education
Applications for full-time MBA programs at US business schools have declined by 27% for the incoming class of 2028, with international student demand falling sharply. Overall international applications across all graduate business programs dropped 38%, compared to a 6% decrease in domestic applications. This trend is attributed to uncertainty surrounding Donald Trump's immigration and visa policies. Prominent schools like UCLA and Georgetown also reported significant application declines, impacting enrollment numbers and causing business schools to struggle with filling available seats.
