Ohio Supreme Court Allows Village To Halt $3.6 Billion Data Center Project

Times of India · business

The Supreme Court of Ohio has ruled that the village of Lordstown can keep a proposed $3.6 billion data center project on hold. Bristolville 25 Developer LLC had sought to build a 133-acre campus but filed plans just before local officials enacted restrictions. The developer argued their submission should be grandfathered under previous rules. However, the court found the project had not progressed sufficiently through the four-step review process before the moratorium took effect. Therefore, the village is not legally obligated to continue the review while restrictions remain in place.
