सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने मध्य प्रदेश में 2018 में अपनी छह साल की सौतेली बेटी से रेप और हत्या के दोषी एक आदमी की मौत की सज़ा उम्रकैद में बदल दी है। कोर्ट ने कहा कि वह बिना पैरोल के जेल में ही रहेगा। जजों ने कहा कि जब रक्षक ही भक्षक बन जाए तो परिवार की सुरक्षा खतरे में पड़ जाती है। 56 साल के इस दोषी का जेल में व्यवहार अच्छा था और उसका कोई पिछला रिकॉर्ड नहीं था, जिसने फैसले को प्रभावित किया।
