Madras HC Orders Action Against Two Police Inspectors Over Land Grab Case Allegations

The Madras High Court has ordered disciplinary action against two Virugambakkam police inspectors for allegedly threatening a complainant to withdraw a land grab case. The complainant had accused individuals of fabricating documents to seize an 1,800-square-foot plot in Vadapalani, Chennai. When the accused sought anticipatory bail, the court heard that the inspector pressured the complainant, Surya, to drop the complaint. Subsequently, Surya was allegedly arrested under the SC/ST Act based on a false complaint filed by the accused's wife.

मद्रास हाईकोर्ट का आदेश जमीन हड़पने के मामले में दो पुलिस निरीक्षकों पर कार्रवाई

मद्रास हाईकोर्ट ने विरगुंबक्कम के दो पुलिस निरीक्षकों के खिलाफ अनुशासनात्मक कार्रवाई का आदेश दिया है। इन पर एक शिकायतकर्ता को जमीन हड़पने का मामला वापस लेने के लिए धमकाने का आरोप है। शिकायतकर्ता ने आरोप लगाया था कि कुछ लोगों ने चेन्नई के वडापलानी में 1,800 वर्ग फुट की जमीन हड़पने के लिए फर्जी दस्तावेज बनाए थे। जब आरोपियों ने अग्रिम जमानत मांगी, तो कोर्ट को बताया गया कि निरीक्षक ने शिकायतकर्ता, सूर्या, पर शिकायत वापस लेने का दबाव डाला था। इसके बाद, कथित तौर पर आरोपियों की पत्नी द्वारा दर्ज कराई गई झूठी शिकायत के आधार पर सूर्या को SC/ST एक्ट के तहत गिरफ्तार कर लिया गया।
