Assam Police Release Detained CJP Volunteers

Over 30 Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) workers, including co-convenor Ashutosh Ranka, were detained by Assam Police in Guwahati. The volunteers were reportedly held ahead of a scheduled regional meeting. Ranka stated on social media that their "illegal detention" had ended and they were released. The CJP team requested to be dropped back where they were initially picked up. CJP chief Abhijeet Dipke reacted to the development, expressing mock disappointment at missing a potential police station protest.

असम पुलिस ने गुवाहाटी में कॉकरोच जनता पार्टी (CJP) के 30 से ज़्यादा कार्यकर्ताओं को हिरासत में लिया, जिनमें सह-संयोजक आशुतोष रांका भी शामिल थे। बताया गया है कि यह कार्यकर्ता एक तय क्षेत्रीय बैठक से पहले रोके गए थे। रांका ने सोशल मीडिया पर कहा कि उनकी "अवैध हिरासत" खत्म हो गई है और उन्हें छोड़ दिया गया है। CJP टीम ने उन्हें वहीं वापस छोड़ने का अनुरोध किया जहाँ से उन्हें पहले उठाया गया था। CJP प्रमुख अभिजीत दीपके ने इस घटना पर प्रतिक्रिया देते हुए पुलिस स्टेशन में संभावित विरोध प्रदर्शन से चूकने पर मज़ाकिया तौर पर निराशा व्यक्त की।
