NBA legend Bob Pettit, the first recipient of the league's MVP award in 1956, has died at the age of 93. His alma mater, LSU, confirmed his passing on Thursday. Pettit was an 11-time All-Star with the St. Louis Hawks, leading them to their only championship in 1958. He also won MVP in 1959 and was a four-time All-Star game MVP. Pettit retired with career averages of 26.4 points and 16.2 rebounds.
