President Vladimir Putin's United Russia party has secured a majority in Russia's parliamentary elections, winning just under 58% of the vote. This marks the party's strongest result historically, gaining 355 seats in the 450-seat Duma. The election, the first since Russia's invasion of Ukraine, included residents from four illegally annexed Ukrainian regions. Putin ally Ramzan Kadyrov also won nearly 100% of the vote in Chechnya.
