Jamshedpur Penalises 62 Heavy Vehicles For Illegal Parking

Jamshedpur authorities have intensified a crackdown on illegal roadside parking of heavy vehicles, penalising 62 operators in two days. A joint team of the transport department and traffic police fined 45 operators along the Pardih-Baliguma stretch of NH-33, collecting Rs 2.5 lakh. The drive continued on Tuesday, with 17 more operators fined for unauthorised parking on the Burmamines-Golmuri road. This enforcement campaign aims to curb haphazard parking, reduce congestion, and improve road safety following a recent fatal accident. Awareness programmes are also being conducted.
