Contractor, Supervisor Booked After Labourer Electrocuted

A 39-year-old labourer was electrocuted while drilling a wall at an under-construction site in Malad East, Mumbai. The Kurar police have booked the contractor and site supervisor for negligence. The deceased, Prasonta Bora, was allegedly not provided with shock-proof gloves, gumboots, or a helper. The incident occurred on September 14 at the Baug-e-Noor building. Police registered a case under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for causing death by negligence.
