Consumer Court Awards Rs 58,000 To Kerala Man

A Kerala man has won a consumer court case against a logistics company for failing to deliver his Rs 32,000 bicycle and other goods from Delhi. The company had accepted the consignment but never delivered it. The District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission ordered the company to pay the man Rs 32,000 for the goods, Rs 10,000 for mental agony, and Rs 1,000 as litigation costs.

केरल के एक आदमी ने एक लॉजिस्टिक्स कंपनी के खिलाफ उपभोक्ता अदालत में केस जीत लिया है। कंपनी दिल्ली से 32,000 रुपये की साइकिल और अन्य सामान नहीं पहुंचा पाई थी। कंपनी ने सामान लिया तो था, पर डिलीवर नहीं किया। जिला उपभोक्ता फोरम ने कंपनी को सामान के 32,000 रुपये, मानसिक परेशानी के लिए 10,000 रुपये और मुकदमेबाजी के खर्च के तौर पर 1,000 रुपये देने का आदेश दिया है।
