Vanuatu Ferry Sinks, One Dead, 30 Missing

A ferry carrying over 40 passengers and crew sank in bad weather on Friday in Vanuatu, leaving one person dead and 30 others missing. The MV Matui was traveling between Santo and Ambae islands when it went down in heavy seas. Prime Minister Jotham Napat's office is overseeing the search and rescue efforts, which are now focusing on coastal areas.
