Nasa has revealed why the Black Sea shifts from dark blue to turquoise annually. This striking colour change, observed in spring and early summer, is caused by a massive bloom of phytoplankton. These microscopic marine plants, rich in chlorophyll, reflect sunlight in a way that makes the water appear turquoise. This phenomenon is crucial for understanding marine ecosystems and nutrient cycles in the region.

नासा ने बताया है कि ब्लैक सी में हर साल गहरा नीला रंग बदलकर फिरोज़ी क्यों हो जाता है। यह खूबसूरत बदलाव वसंत और गर्मियों की शुरुआत में दिखता है। इसकी वजह है फाइटोप्लांकटन (सूक्ष्म समुद्री पौधे) की भारी मात्रा में बढ़त। इनमें क्लोरोफिल होता है, जो सूरज की रोशनी को ऐसे परावर्तित करता है कि पानी फिरोज़ी दिखने लगता है। यह समुद्री जीवन और पोषक तत्वों के चक्र को समझने के लिए बहुत ज़रूरी है।
