Ravichandran Ashwin believes Vaibhav Sooryavanshi appeared uncomfortable batting at number three in India's second T20I against New Zealand. The young batter, who replaced an injured Ishan Kishan, scored only four runs off eight balls after coming in during the sixth over. Ashwin described Sooryavanshi as a "miss" in that role, feeling he was like a "fish out of water" and lacked timing. He suggested Sanju Samson should bat at number three if this combination is to be used, while also praising India's middle order for chasing New Zealand's total.
