Mahatma Gandhi's birthplace in Porbandar, Gujarat, and the adjoining Kirti Mandir memorial, built in his honour, represent different facets of his life and legacy. Gandhi was born in this ancestral haveli on October 2, 1869. The Kirti Mandir memorial, designed with elements from various religions, was built to propagate his ideas. Inaugurated in 1950, its structure stands 79 feet tall, with 79 lamps on the roof, reflecting his lifespan. Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel recently paid tributes at the memorial.

गुजरात के पोरबंदर में महात्मा गांधी का जन्मस्थान और उनके सम्मान में बना कीर्ति मंदिर स्मारक उनके जीवन और विरासत के विभिन्न पहलुओं को दर्शाते हैं। गांधी का जन्म 2 अक्टूबर 1869 को इसी पैतृक हवेली में हुआ था। विभिन्न धर्मों के तत्वों से डिजाइन किया गया कीर्ति मंदिर स्मारक उनके विचारों को फैलाने के लिए बनाया गया था। 1950 में इसका उद्घाटन हुआ था, इसकी संरचना 79 फीट ऊंची है, और छत पर 79 दीपक लगे हैं, जो उनके जीवनकाल को दर्शाते हैं। गुजरात के मुख्यमंत्री भूपेंद्र पटेल ने हाल ही में स्मारक पर श्रद्धांजलि अर्पित की।
