A Kuki woman, identified as Domkhonei Touthang, was killed by bullets during an exchange of fire between armed groups and security forces in Manipur's Kamjong district on Friday night. The incident occurred when security forces attempted to demolish illegal bunkers near Chassad police station, leading to protests and retaliatory gunfire. The woman, a mother of five, sustained fatal injuries. Following the escalation, several houses were reportedly set ablaze, and gunfire continued intermittently. Restrictions have now been imposed near the Chassad police gate junction.
