Former Andhra Deputy CM's Car Attacked in Chittoor; Police Intervene

The car of former Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Narayana Swamy was allegedly attacked and vandalised by rival Telugu Desam Party (TDP) cadres in Chittoor on Wednesday. The incident occurred near the Zilla Parishad office premises as Mr. Swamy, a senior YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader, arrived to support candidates filing nominations. Police intervened to secure the leader and quell the mob, restoring order. Unruly scenes were also reported in another constituency where YSRCP cadres allegedly torched a local TDP leader's car.

पूर्व आंध्र प्रदेश के उपमुख्यमंत्री के. नारायण स्वामी की कार पर बुधवार को चित्तूर में कथित तौर पर प्रतिद्वंद्वी तेलुगु देशम पार्टी (TDP) के कार्यकर्ताओं ने हमला कर उसे क्षतिग्रस्त कर दिया। यह घटना ज़िला परिषद कार्यालय परिसर के पास हुई जब वरिष्ठ YSR कांग्रेस पार्टी (YSRCP) नेता श्री स्वामी नामांकन दाखिल करने वाले उम्मीदवारों का समर्थन करने पहुंचे। पुलिस ने नेता को सुरक्षित करने और भीड़ को शांत करने के लिए हस्तक्षेप किया, जिससे व्यवस्था बहाल हुई। एक अन्य निर्वाचन क्षेत्र में भी हंगामे की खबरें थीं, जहां YSRCP कार्यकर्ताओं ने कथित तौर पर एक स्थानीय TDP नेता की कार में आग लगा दी थी।
