Cornell Student Sues Over Drugging, Alleged Rape

A former Cornell University student has filed a lawsuit against the university and seven members of the Chi Phi fraternity. She alleges she was drugged and sexually assaulted at the fraternity house in October 2024. The lawsuit claims one man posted a derogatory message on the fraternity's Snapchat group while she was unconscious. The former student reported the incident to university police weeks later and subsequently left Cornell. Her attorney stated that only two of the seven accused men were expelled, with others receiving lesser punishments.
