गुरुवार को पंकज कुमार मीणा ने प्रकाशम जिले के पहले पुलिस अधीक्षक के तौर पर पदभार संभाला। उन्होंने कहा कि उनकी मुख्य प्राथमिकताएं जनता की सुरक्षा, सड़क दुर्घटनाओं को रोकना, ज़मीन के झगड़ों को सुलझाना और महिलाओं की सुरक्षा होंगी। मीणा ने कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखने का वादा किया और उल्लंघन करने वालों पर कड़ी कार्रवाई की बात कही। उन्होंने राजस्व अधिकारियों से सलाह लेकर ज़मीनी विवादों को हल करने और घाट सड़कों पर दुर्घटनाएं रोकने के खास इंतजाम करने का भी आश्वासन दिया।
