Mizoram Launches Bus Service To Manipur Amid Strife

Mizoram has launched a new inter-state bus service connecting Aizawl and Churachandpur in Manipur. Transport Minister Vanlalhlana flagged off two 21-seater buses, with regular operations set to begin soon. The service aims to ease travel difficulties faced by Zo kindred tribes due to the ongoing ethnic strife in Manipur. This initiative is expected to strengthen brotherhood and unity between the communities in both states. The route covers approximately 360 km, taking about 12 hours with a fare of Rs 2,500 per passenger.
