Groups Demand Action Against Illegal Construction In Bhagirathi Eco-Sensitive Zone

Two organisations, Himalayi Nagarik Drishti Manch and Uttarakhand Kranti Dal, have demanded action against alleged illegal construction in Sainj, located within the Bhagirathi Eco-Sensitive Zone. They submitted a memorandum to the District Magistrate, alleging that Maluk Peeth violated land-purchase conditions by undertaking large-scale excavation and construction for a temple. The groups claim no effective action has been taken despite a committee being formed. The District Magistrate stated that construction has been halted and challan proceedings initiated, with further action to be taken based on the committee's report.

दो संगठनों, हिमालयी नागरिक दृष्टि मंच और उत्तराखंड क्रांति दल ने भागीरथी इको-सेंसिटिव ज़ोन के भीतर स्थित सैंज में कथित अवैध निर्माण के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की मांग की है। उन्होंने जिला मजिस्ट्रेट को एक ज्ञापन सौंपा, जिसमें आरोप लगाया गया कि मलूक पीठ ने मंदिर के लिए बड़े पैमाने पर खुदाई और निर्माण करके भूमि खरीद की शर्तों का उल्लंघन किया है। समूहों का दावा है कि समिति गठित होने के बावजूद कोई प्रभावी कार्रवाई नहीं की गई है। जिला मजिस्ट्रेट ने कहा कि निर्माण रोक दिया गया है और चालान की कार्यवाही शुरू कर दी गई है, और समिति की रिपोर्ट के आधार पर आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।
