Study Predicts Persistent Chronic Rhinosinusitis in Children

A five-year prospective study has identified clinical and immunological markers that can help predict persistent chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) in preschool children. The research focuses on identifying those likely to experience ongoing disease. Furthermore, it aims to pinpoint children prone to developing house dust mite-induced allergies. This predictive capability could lead to earlier interventions and better management strategies for young patients suffering from this condition.
